Annual Report 2008

The Irish Aid 2008 Annual Report gives a sense of the considerable challenges faced by developing countries and the difference that Ireland’s overseas aid programme is making in the fight against poverty and hunger.

The year’s report focuses on our efforts to tackle hunger. Many of Irish Aid’s programme countries have struggled with chronic hunger and malnutrition. Over a billion people worldwide do not have access to basic nutrition. In response to this growing crisis, the Government of Ireland has made tackling hunger the cornerstone of the Irish Aid programme.
