Irish Aid at BT Young Scientist Exhibition

Come visit our stand in the Eco-Zone of the BT Young Scientist Exhibition!

Irish Aid staff are set to welcome record crowds to our stand at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS this week. We are at Stand 4 in the Eco-Zone.

We are looking forward to meeting lots of students, teachers and visitors, so we can share our passion for the Irish Aid programme and development issues. There will be quizzes, goodie bags, drumming workshops and lots more, so don’t miss out!

And next door, there is another real treat! The winners of the Tanzanian Young Scientist competition, Dhariha Amour Ali and Salma Khalfan Omar, will be displaying their winning project. Dhariha and Salma have travelled all the way from Unguja in Zanzibar to display their project on "Changing attitudes to control flies in Tanzania." They would be delighted to talk to you about their project and life in Zanzibar, so be sure to drop by.

There will be quizzes, goodie bags and drumming workshops - don’t miss out!

This year is also the 10th anniversary of the Science for Development Award. The winners will be announced on Friday evening at the Awards Ceremony, with Minister of State for Overseas Development, Seán Sherlock presenting the award. Take a look at all the exhibitors and see if you can guess who the winner will be. You can check out details of past winners at the WorldWise Schools stand, which is also in the Eco-Zone.

As you can see, there’s lots to see and do, so plan your visit now!
